TL;DR

Tactical Vehicle Armor Designer (Defense) (Siemens NX/Armor Systems): Designing and integrating armor systems, structural components, and survivability solutions for tactical vehicles with an accent on large-assembly CAD, SWaP-C optimization, and manufacturability. Focus on developing blast-mitigation and spall-liner solutions, resolving complex subsystem integration challenges, and meeting strict defense performance requirements.

Location: Hybrid, with in-office work in Warren, Michigan, or Milford, Michigan, at least three times per week. The role requires a U.S. Person under ITAR and export-control requirements. hirify.global does not provide immigration sponsorship, and the position is not eligible for relocation benefits.

  • High proficiency in Siemens NX or related CAD tools for parametric modeling and large-assembly management; experience with Teamcenter and VisMockup.
  • Strong knowledge of high-strength steels, military-grade aluminum, composites, ballistic materials, manufacturing processes, CAE, and eGD&T.
  • Expert knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and product specification and release systems.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to work under ITAR and export-control restrictions; no hirify.global immigration sponsorship is available.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid work arrangement with regular collaboration at a designated Michigan facility.
  • Opportunities to work on government programs, tactical vehicle platforms, and special engineering projects.
  • Benefits and total rewards designed to support employee well-being at work and at home.
