Business Systems Analyst (Data Governance)

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, United States; full-time onsite position.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000

What you will do

• Lead discovery workshops, map current and future-state processes, and translate stakeholder needs into actionable requirements.
• Write testable user stories, acceptance criteria, and end-to-end workflow documentation for development and QA.
• Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, domain ownership policies, and compliance requirements.
• Own the data dictionary for assigned domains, including definitions, acceptable values, lineage, stewards, and compliance classifications.
• Validate data readiness before go-live through profiling, field-level quality checks, and pass/fail criteria while coordinating with data migration specialists.
• Support CRM initiatives by gathering requirements, validating configuration and data-model changes, and coordinating UAT.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a business analyst, business systems analyst, or data analyst in an operational or technology delivery environment.
• Hands-on data governance experience with ownership of programs, tooling, metrics, or data domains.
• Experience writing implementation-ready requirements and validating data readiness before system go-live.
• Ability to translate regulatory obligations, including consent, opt-out, and do-not-contact requirements, into governance and schema standards.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or an equivalent CRM platform is required.

Nice to have

• Certification in business analysis or data management, such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or CDMP.
• Experience with DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, Atlan, Collibra, Alation, DataHub, or Microsoft Purview.
• SQL proficiency for data profiling, validation queries, and quality analysis.
