Senior Product Operations Manager

TL;DR

Senior Product Operations Manager (Jira/Confluence): Designing and running the operating system for a growing product organization, with an accent on planning cadence, prioritization, metrics, customer feedback, and product tooling. Focus on standardizing decision-making across product managers, building trustworthy reporting, and connecting quality, customer insight, and roadmap investment decisions.

Location: Hybrid work in San Diego or San Francisco, California, United States. Office work is required on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote work is available on Tuesday and Friday.

Salary: $135,000–$210,000 USD base pay, plus eligibility for a yearly bonus.

What you will do

• Run quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, decision forums, and standardized product documentation.
• Implement a consistent prioritization framework and maintain capacity allocation with Engineering leadership.
• Build the voice-of-customer pipeline across Sales, Customer Success, and Support, including feedback taxonomy and research repositories.
• Define product metrics, adoption and outcome KPIs, OKR instrumentation, and review cadences.
• Establish quality and escalation visibility through severity taxonomies, triage SLAs, backlog monitoring, and defect impact models.
• Administer Jira and Confluence, including workflows, custom fields, automation, issue hierarchies, JQL, dashboards, and data quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years in product management, product operations, program management, or business operations, including support for a product organization with 10+ product managers.
• Deep hands-on Jira configuration and Confluence administration experience.
• Fluency with product frameworks including RICE, WSJF, Jobs-to-be-Done, OKRs, and opportunity solution trees.
• Working SQL skills and hands-on experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or a comparable BI tool.
• Experience running voice-of-customer programs, defining product KPIs and OKRs, and driving process adoption across teams without direct management authority.
• Bachelor’s degree and strong written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tools with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
• Experience establishing a product operations function from scratch.
• Enterprise SaaS experience, especially with hardware or field-deployed components.
• Familiarity with Gainsight or Salesforce as data sources.
