Program Director (Military Family Programs)

Location: Must reside in the Colorado Springs community served by the chapter. The organization operates in a flexible virtual environment. Travel outside the home office may be up to 25%, with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Salary: $69,000–$88,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage local chapter programs, events, strategic calendars, and community initiatives.
• Support fundraising through opportunity identification, proposal development, relationship stewardship, and revenue planning.
• Build partnerships with public, private, philanthropic, military, and community organizations.
• Recruit, coordinate, and engage volunteers, fellows, and interns.
• Lead membership engagement, customer service, communications, and social media activities.
• Track program metrics, implement national policies locally, and support advocacy and chapter operations.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with volunteer recruitment and management, fundraising, business development, and project management.
• Knowledge of the military family experience and ability to engage community and installation leaders.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, public speaking, meeting facilitation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology and ability to lift and carry supplies or equipment up to 30 lbs.
• Must reside in the local Colorado Springs community; travel may be required up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
• Familiarity with membership-driven organizations.
