What you will do

• Review owner RFPs, specifications, and drawings to define scope, estimate content, and critical project tasks.
• Prepare electrical quantity takeoffs and estimate material, labor, equipment, and specialty item costs.
• Develop conceptual electrical solutions, construction methods, sequencing plans, level-one schedules, crew sizes, and resource requirements.
• Issue RFPs to qualified vendors and subcontractors and evaluate proposals using technical and commercial comparison metrics.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, Engineers of Record, utilities, vendors, construction, supply chain, and project management.
• Identify project risks, assess constructability, research historical cost and productivity data, and develop value engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of progressive experience in renewable construction, or at least four years of crew-based estimating experience in other construction industries.
• Experience with electrical estimating for utility-scale infrastructure is valuable, including collection systems, substations, underground cable systems, utility interconnections, SCADA, protection and control, and grounding.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must work onsite in Avon, Minnesota, United States, with up to 25% travel.
