Electrical Engineer I (Electric Power)

Location: Remote or Lakewood, CO. Must be able to legally work in the United States

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000

An engineering firm since 1982 solving challenging electric power engineering problems for clients globally.

What you will do

• Design electrical power systems, including one-line/three-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and grounding design.
• Perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, arc flash, harmonic analysis) using specialized software.
• Develop, test, and install protective relay settings and control systems.
• Program, install, and test SCADA and PLC systems.
• Prepare project documentation, including cost estimates, budget reports, and proposals.
• Conduct equipment field testing, start-up, and commissioning services.

Requirements

• BSEE or BSEET from an accredited institution (electric power option preferred).
• Must be able to legally work in the United States.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (or ability to obtain proficiency within six months).
• EIT or FE national examination certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel 25-30% for field work.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of power system software such as Aspen, PSSE, ETAP, or SKM.
