Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; on-site factory and cleanroom work required. The role requires a compressed work week with twelve-hour day and night shifts rotating between three and four days per week. Access to controlled technology requires legal authorization under United States export regulations.

What you will do

• Plan production for a 13-week horizon, validate capacity performance, and drive gap closure on start plans.
• Monitor and adjust production activities to achieve master-plan targets while optimizing work-in-progress and stock levels.
• Manage material availability, mitigate shortages, and develop structural improvements to prevent recurring material issues.
• Identify bottlenecks, constraints, capacity risks, and production scenarios; support decisions on capacity extensions and plan optimization.
• Track production KPIs, create Excel analyses and presentations, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for production planning processes and lead at least one cross-functional improvement project annually.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in planning and/or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• At least one year of experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• At least two years of stakeholder management experience.
• Knowledge of Lean methodology or other continuous improvement methods.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex functions, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and charts.
• Willingness to work on-site in a cleanroom and on a rotating twelve-hour day and night shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, or communications.
• APICS certification in manufacturing planning, supply chain, project management, engineering, or master data configuration.
• Experience planning the introduction of new products into production.
