Technician 3 (Phoenix, AZ)

Location: Phoenix, AZ, with work at varying job sites and residential rooftops

What you will do

• Evaluate, diagnose, maintain, and repair solar, storage, and electrical systems using testing equipment.
• Support operations and maintenance activities by responding to system performance and service issues.
• Complete quality assurance inspections, document corrective actions, and submit service reports after work orders.
• Identify solutions for technical design problems and collaborate with manufacturers and engineering staff.
• Train service staff and customers on system operation, maintenance, performance, and service processes.
• Manage vehicle materials and equipment inventory while building relationships with dealers and service partners.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of electrical experience; solar electric industry experience is preferred.
• Current valid driver's license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.
• Proficient spoken, written, and reading English required.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to work outdoors and on rooftops, drive for up to 8 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and respond to emergencies on an adjusting schedule.

Nice to have

• OSHA 30 certification.
• Formal apprenticeship or vocational training.
• At least 4 years of electrical experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
