Product Manager II - Spacecraft Software Platform (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role requiring on-site work in the San Jose, California office three days per week; applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Salary: $177,000–$203,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own roadmaps for the flight software platform and onboard compute capabilities.
• Define and prioritize features that improve product quality, schedule adherence, and customer value.
• Write product requirements documents, define acceptance criteria, and drive alignment through delivery.
• Develop product strategy and build-versus-buy recommendations with product leadership.
• Conduct customer interviews and translate mission needs into roadmap decisions and product artifacts.
• Coordinate roadmap development across flight software, hardware, mission systems, and product teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of product management experience owning software products in technically complex environments.
• Experience with flight software, embedded systems, robotics, or adjacent deep-tech software domains.
• Ability to coordinate multiple engineering teams and manage concurrent workstreams in uncertain environments.
• Experience delivering major features or programs spanning multiple months.
• Ability to influence technical investment without direct authority and translate customer mission needs into detailed requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; must satisfy applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. Government security clearance.
• Knowledge of real-time operating systems, onboard or edge compute, and space-environment software.
• Experience in startup or high-growth technology environments.
