Product Manager, Resourcing (CLEARANCE REQUIRED)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States; most days are expected to be spent in the Pentagon.

Salary: $120,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Work directly with defense customers to understand mission needs, operational constraints, Air Force resourcing challenges, and capability-delivery opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous mission problems into product requirements, workflows, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
• Drive solutions from concept through deployment, adoption, troubleshooting, and operational use across product, engineering, data, QA, deployment, and customer-facing teams.
• Use Python and data to investigate operational problems, automate tasks, analyze datasets, and resolve deployment issues.
• Develop expertise in Air Force and DoD resourcing, PPBE, programming, budgeting, requirements, acquisition, and capability development.
• Present mission needs and technical solutions to government and defense leaders while improving documentation, product operations, and program execution.

Requirements

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Approximately 2–5 years of relevant experience in defense, national security, military, government technology, defense technology, software, or a similarly demanding technical environment.
• Working knowledge of Air Force or DoD resourcing and PPBE, including requirements, programming, budgeting, acquisition, and funding decisions.
• Ability to read and write Python, manipulate data, write scripts, and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Experience working with technical teams and understanding the software development lifecycle, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Department of the Air Force or broader DoD PPBE, resource allocation, programming, budgeting, requirements, acquisition, or capability development.
• Experience with AFMC, SAF/MR, HAF, MAJCOMs, PEOs, program offices, A5/A8/AQ organizations, or similar DoD organizations.
• Defense technology startup or small defense contractor experience, including government software deployment, integration, or operational support.
• Operational military experience or hands-on work with Python, SQL, APIs, data analysis, cloud environments, or technical products.
• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in a technical, analytical, national security, mission-oriented, or related discipline.
