Staff Manager, Project Engineering

Location: Onsite in Elma, New York; remote candidates will not be considered. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop approximately 20 project engineering direct reports.
• Oversee development and production engineering projects within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Assign projects, monitor execution, and maintain key performance indicators and project metrics.
• Conduct performance reviews, support career development, and resolve team conflicts.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback for engineering strategy.
• Coordinate with engineering leadership on project goals, best practices, continuous improvement, and proposal efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant technical experience.
• Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams.
• Experience with people leadership and conflict resolution.
• Project management experience covering EVMS, risk and opportunity management, scope, schedule, and budget management.
• Ability to work onsite in Elma, New York; remote work is not available. Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance and access U.S. export-controlled information.
