Construction Coordinator

Location: On-site in Fox Creek, Alberta, or Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

What you will do

• Represent hirify.global on site and monitor construction execution against design, quality, performance, and schedule requirements.
• Lead field safety oversight, including hazard assessments, toolbox talks, work-practice audits, LOTO, hot work, confined spaces, chemical handling, working at height, and environmental procedures.
• Inspect installations against drawings and specifications, oversee subcontractor ITPs, track quality check-sheets and NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate weekly construction planning, critical activity meetings, field RFIs, redline drawings, submittals, and SIMOPS controls.
• Verify incoming equipment and materials, including damage checks, documentation, storage, preservation, and handling.
• Maintain daily logs, verify quantities for progress billings, support punch-list inspections, and assemble safety, operations, and quality turnover packages.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering Technology, or a relevant journeyman trade certificate.
• 7–10+ years of field-based industrial construction experience in Alberta, preferably on power, heavy industrial, or oil and gas sites.
• Direct experience with field safety management and QA/QC procedures.
• CSO/CSTS-20, Standard First Aid, and formal training in hazard identification or QA/QC practices.
• Ability to use MS Project or Procore and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, and single-line diagrams.
• On-site work in Fox Creek or Edmonton, Alberta, is required.

Nice to have

• CRSP or NCSO designation.
• Electrical, mechanical, or pipefitting trade background.
