Site Superintendent (Data Center Startup & Commissioning) (Data Center Construction): Leading on-site installation, startup, and commissioning of a modular AI data center through Ready for Service with an accent on multi-trade coordination, MEP systems, and commissioning execution. Focus on sequencing energization and testing, resolving field conflicts, and driving punch-list closure across GC, subcontractors, trades, and the Commissioning Authority.

Location: On-site at the Leviathan data center project site in the United States for the duration of installation, startup, and commissioning. The role requires work on active construction sites, PPE, extended hours, weekend work, and short-notice availability during critical energization and testing windows. Travel requirements are TBD.

Salary: $123,600–$154,500 USD per year, plus equity and subsidized benefits.

What you will do

• Lead daily on-site coordination among the customer’s GC, subcontractors, hirify.global-managed trades, and commissioning teams.
• Develop and enforce site logistics plans, look-ahead schedules, work sequencing, and coordination processes.
• Coordinate Level 1–5 commissioning activities, system turnover packages, pre-functional checklists, FPT, and IST.
• Sequence equipment energization, startup, and testing with the CxA, engineers of record, OEM technicians, and trade partners.
• Track punch lists, RFIs, deficiencies, site reports, documentation, and risks affecting the RFS milestone.
• Enforce safety and quality requirements while supporting permitting, inspections, AHJ coordination, and change management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of construction site management experience, including 3+ years in mission-critical, data center, or industrial startup and commissioning environments.
• Experience delivering multi-trade sites from substantial completion through startup, commissioning, occupancy, or RFS.
• Working knowledge of data center MEP systems, including electrical distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, cooling plants, CRAH/CRAC, BMS, and EPMS controls.
• Knowledge of commissioning frameworks such as ASHRAE Guideline 0/1.1 and Level 1–5 commissioning.
• Strong scheduling experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools, plus experience coordinating GC and subcontractor crews.
• OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain, strong safety leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Nice to have

• Hyperscale or colocation data center construction and startup experience.
• Building automation, controls, and integrated systems testing experience.
• Relationships with major data center GCs, CxA firms, and MEP contractors.
• PMP, CxA, or CCM certification.
• Experience preparing RFS and turnover documentation, including O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranty documentation.
