Focus on designing rigorous lab tests, resolving multi-radio hardware issues, automating measurement capabilities with Python and AI tools, and delivering reliable products under regulatory requirements.
Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States; hybrid arrangement with in-office work four days per week. Applicants must already have United States employment authorization; sponsorship and other immigration-related support are unavailable.
Base salary: $88,300–$122,550 USD per year.

What you will do
- Plan and perform RF performance and EMC pre-compliance testing against product specifications and FCC, ISED, and CE/RED requirements.
- Measure TRP/TIS, conducted power and spectrum, and radiated and conducted emissions across multiple radio technologies.
- Troubleshoot and optimize RF performance and EMC compliance for in-house multi-radio hardware.
- Own certification workflows, including sample preparation, test instruction development, and support for external laboratory testing.
- Document and analyze results, communicate findings to design and program teams, and manage multiple projects independently.
- Expand lab testing capabilities using AI tools, Python, and other software tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, with RF and/or EMC experience.
- 2–3 years of hands-on RF performance or EMC testing experience and the ability to interpret pass/fail criteria.
- Familiarity with cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, and sub-GHz wireless protocols.
- Experience troubleshooting RF performance issues and EMC compliance failures.
- Ability to read electronic schematics and use oscilloscopes, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, signal generators, and cellular communication testers.
- Existing United States employment authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with FCC, ISED, and CE/RED certification processes and external certification preparation.
- Antenna impedance matching, characterization, and optimization skills.
- Python or other scripting experience for laboratory test automation.
- Hardware design experience, including schematic capture, layout, and bring-up.
- Experience with Ansys SIwave or HFSS, or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
