What you will do

• Serve as the EHS subject matter expert for the assigned manufacturing unit.
• Implement EHS initiatives aligned with plant, regional, and global objectives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Support EHS management system committees and continuous improvement activities.
• Develop strategies to increase EHS engagement and strengthen workplace safety culture.
• Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and support annual operating plan goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, safety, engineering, technical science, or a related field, or equivalent experience and legally acceptable qualifications.
• Experience implementing and managing EHS programs in a large manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Experience developing EHS programs in manufacturing, preferably in a labor union environment.
• Experience tracking, trending, and reporting EHS data.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Strong ethical standards, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in environmental science, safety, engineering, or a related field.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist credential.
