Quality Engineer III (Byhalia)

What you will do

• Perform internal, supplier, and certification audits while maintaining quality documentation and audit schedules.
• Develop test procedures, quality standards, process controls, and KPIs; analyze performance and failure trends.
• Lead root cause investigations, corrective action plans, and customer or supplier quality issue resolution.
• Drive Lean continuous improvement initiatives with production, engineering, design, and supply chain teams.
• Support NPI, APQP, ECO/MCO reviews, and quality planning throughout the product development cycle.
• Train and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians on quality tools and problem-solving methods.

Requirements

• Legal authority to work in the U.S. is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, plus eight years of relevant experience; alternatively, a relevant master’s degree plus six years of experience.
• At least five years of quality engineering experience.
• Experience with 8D, A3, 5 Whys, Fishbone, APQP, PPAP, MSA, and SPC.
• Experience using quality inspection equipment, reading engineering drawings, and applying GD&T.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP or Oracle, Microsoft Office, data analysis applications, and nonconformance tracking.

Nice to have

• Experience with customer warranty returns, concessions, and complaint resolution.
• Experience auditing supplier products, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
