Nurse (RN)

Nurse (RN) (Behavioral Health): Administering methadone and supporting patient assessment and monitoring in an opioid addiction treatment center with an accent on medication accountability, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance. Focus on evaluating treatment appropriateness, reconciling medication inventories, responding to discrepancies, and maintaining safe, accredited care standards.

Location: On-site in Reno, Nevada, USA. Schedule: 5:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturdays.

Salary: $40.00–$45.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Administer methadone according to physician orders and monitor patients after dosing.
• Screen and assess new and current patients for treatment appropriateness.
• Collect urine specimens, monitor physicals and laboratory work, and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Manage medication shipments, supplies, dosing packages, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy reporting.
• Coordinate with counselors and nursing staff, train new nurses, and participate in treatment team meetings and training.
• Support quality improvement, accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, and treatment center operations.

Requirements

• Active LPN/LVN or RN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Accurate data-entry skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and react quickly.
• Ability to work on-site in Reno and meet the specified early-morning schedule with rotating Saturdays.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Phlebotomist certification or willingness to obtain it if required.
• Knowledge of dosing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, test strips, breathalyzers, and other medical equipment.
