Counselor (Behavioral Health)

Location: On-site in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, USA. Set schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Conduct individual alcohol and drug abuse counseling and group sessions.
• Orient patients to treatment programs, conduct intake and readmission services, and provide follow-up support.
• Assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information and develop or revise treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention, referrals, care coordination, and inter-agency documentation.
• Maintain patient records, support caseload management, and participate in program development.
• Follow regulatory and accrediting requirements and provide or attend required training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related Human Services field.
• Knowledge of human behavior, substance use disorders, treatment planning, and human social services.
• Ability to make sound decisions quickly and handle confidential or sensitive situations.
• Ability to work effectively with patients and colleagues during stressful situations and seek supervisory guidance when needed.
• Compliance with federal and state requirements for certification, licensure, and education.

Nice to have

• Experience in behavioral health.
• Relevant certifications or licenses.
