What you will do
- Coordinate supply chain service delivery and logistics operations across the South Sudan country programme and emergency response.
- Oversee inbound shipments, customs clearance, warehousing, inventory management, transport planning, and last-mile distribution.
- Manage logistics contracts and coordinate service providers to ensure timely and accountable delivery.
- Provide technical and advisory support to programme teams, field offices, government counterparts, and implementing partners.
- Support logistics dashboards, reporting, and performance monitoring for supply chain operations.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, business administration, economics, management, law, international development, public health, social science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, inventory, transport, customs compliance, contracting, distribution, or humanitarian operations.
- Experience with humanitarian logistics, customs clearance, warehouse management, inventory management, supply chain operations, and dashboard reporting.
- Fluency in English is required.
- A host-country visa and medical clearance are required for appointment at the duty station.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Arabic or another official UN language, including Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish.
- Experience in emergency response, health supply chains, cold chain, multimodal transport, proof-of-delivery management, or supply chain KPIs.
- Experience in fragile, post-conflict, development, or humanitarian contexts.
