Lead Material Planner (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Centennial, Colorado; Knoxville, Tennessee; or Cincinnati, Ohio facility. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Salary: $120,000–$144,585 base salary per year.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end supply planning for critical purchased components with high volatility, long lead times, and production risk.
• Build and maintain manual planning logic for parts that cannot be fully managed through standard MRP or ERP functionality.
• Coordinate multi-source part splits with procurement based on supplier capacity, cost, lead time, and risk.
• Maintain ERP planning parameters, including lead times, minimum and maximum levels, safety stock, and sourcing splits.
• Reconcile daily and weekly MRP exceptions and action messages, resolving conflicts between system logic and manual planning.
• Prepare shortage-risk reports, support S&OP supply reviews, and improve processes by converting manually managed parts to system-supported planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in supply planning, materials planning, or buyer/planner roles in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience managing multi-sourcing, split percentages, allocation constraints, and other non-standard sourcing situations.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as ION, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to prioritize and make decisions under ambiguity.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in hardware or aerospace manufacturing and assembly.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge or APICS/CPIM certification.
• Understanding of ISO/AS9100 standards, BOMs, engineering change orders, and supply chain KPIs.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, APICS CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience in a startup or scaling manufacturing environment.
