Program Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Long Beach or Torrance, California, United States. The role works across engineering, production, and warehouse areas, with periodic travel to other sites and supplier or logistics partner locations.

Salary: $94,610–$150,210 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrated program schedules from proposal through part release and delivery.
• Track progress, identify schedule variances, and coordinate corrective actions with engineering and program teams.
• Develop multi-material plans that account for lead times, qualification paths, and process maturity.
• Create planning processes for programs spanning multiple factories, including capacity, tooling, material allocation, and schedule synchronization.
• Plan inter-factory logistics, including material and sub-assembly movement, transit and customs lead times, packaging, buffers, and inventory placement.
• Define cross-site hand-offs, data requirements, reporting tools, and repeatable planning standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to US export controls.
• Progressive experience in planning, operations, manufacturing, supply chain management, or consulting.
• Experience building and maintaining integrated schedules with milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple production sites, processes, or material systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage workload and execution against tight schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in a startup, consulting, or high-growth environment.
• Experience with multi-site manufacturing programs, inter-site logistics, customs lead times, and buffer strategies.
• Knowledge of multiple manufacturing process families, such as additive, casting, machining, composites, extrusion, or joining.
• Experience creating and implementing planning or supply-chain processes and work instructions.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau; advanced Excel skills.
