Senior Network Operations Engineer

Location: Hybrid work in the United States, with assigned hirify.global sites in Phoenix, Arizona, or Hillsboro, Oregon.

Annual salary: $124,110–$206,510 USD.

What you will do

• Provide senior technical leadership across global network operations teams and improve execution quality, accountability, and operational discipline.
• Drive improvements in incident, problem, change, service, and root-cause management.
• Lead the operational deployment of new network products, ensuring supportability, documentation, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Establish runbooks, escalation models, handoff expectations, service health reviews, and operational standards.
• Improve major incident response, troubleshooting, recovery planning, communication, and post-incident learning.
• Use metrics, dashboards, automation, and monitoring to reduce recurring incidents and increase service reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise network operations, network engineering, infrastructure operations, or technical service reliability.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, WAN, LAN, wireless, data center networking, monitoring, and operational support.
• Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability network environments and leading complex issue resolution across teams.
• Experience with incident, problem, change, request, and service management processes, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication, technical leadership, influence, coaching, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with global enterprise networks, manufacturing environments, labs, campuses, or data centers.
• Experience with ITIL, operational excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, observability, telemetry, automation, or AI-enabled operations.
• Experience working with managed service providers, vendors, telecommunications providers, or outsourced support teams.
• CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced networking experience.
