What you will do

• Provide proactive and reactive support for mission-critical client infrastructures in a client-facing capacity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using personal expertise and vendor escalations.
• Manage and optimize systems technologies including Microsoft OS, Active Directory, virtualization, and storage solutions.
• Implement and support Cisco and Meraki wireless infrastructures and routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• Perform critical administration tasks including security patching, systems maintenance, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation for clients and the internal managed services team.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Carolinas (USA).
• 5+ years of total IT experience, with 4+ years specifically in an Operational Support role focused on networking.
• Hands-on experience with communication/routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network diagnostic tools like Wireshark, PRTG, or Auvik.
• Expertise in Cisco and Fortinet technologies including NGFW, NGIPS, site-to-site VPN, and MFA.
• Proficiency with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions such as Kaseya, N-able, or NinjaOne.
• Ability to prioritize a dynamic workload while maintaining a strong client-first attitude.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, or Fortinet certifications.
• Experience administering AWS and Azure public cloud infrastructures.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST or CIS.
• Linux administration experience.
