TL;DR

Avionics Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical Integration (Aerospace): Developing and improving manufacturing processes for integrating PCBAs, electrical components, and interconnects into mechanical housings and higher-level avionics assemblies with an accent on process control, flight hardware integration, and production repeatability. Focus on defining critical assembly parameters, troubleshooting electro-mechanical issues, developing tooling and inspection methods, and transitioning hypersonic strike vehicle avionics from development into controlled production.

Location: Onsite at either the Allen, Texas, or Torrance, California facility; U.S. citizenship is required.

  • At least 3 years of experience in avionics, electronics, electrical integration, electro-mechanical assembly, or high-reliability manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience integrating PCBAs or electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, inspection criteria, or process controls.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, PCBA drawings, mechanical drawings, bills of material, and manufacturing documentation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance. Willingness to work extended hours or weekends and travel up to 25% is also required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with flight avionics, defense electronics, automotive electronics, or other high-reliability hardware.
  • Knowledge of thermal interface materials, adhesives, gaskets, environmental seals, fasteners, grounding features, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.
  • Experience with manufacturing tooling, fixtures, automation, process validation, production test equipment, or manufacturing acceptance criteria.
  • Experience with continuity, grounding, hipot, insulation resistance, or functional testing.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or similar workmanship standards.

Culture & Benefits

  • Meaningful long-term equity for full-time employees.
  • Four weeks of paid time off and ten company-paid holidays.
