What you will do

• Develop and document assembly processes for cell intake, module build sequence, and enclosure sealing.
• Support cell joining process development including laser, ultrasonic, and resistance welding qualification.
• Design and build fixturing and tooling for the pilot line with a view toward future automation.
• Implement cell-level traceability, lot control, and detailed process control plans.
• Perform root cause and corrective action to improve yield, throughput, and cost.
• Maintain battery safety practices, including thermal runaway mitigation and compliance testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Working knowledge of precision joining processes like laser or ultrasonic welding.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) per ITAR.
• Experience developing fixturing, tooling, or detailed work instructions for assembly.
• Ability to work hands-on on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Direct battery pack assembly experience in aerospace, defense, UAS, eVTOL, or EV.
• Familiarity with battery safety standards such as UN 38.3 or UL/IEC.
• Experience with electrical test, formation, or pack characterization.
• Exposure to robotics, automation, and MES systems.
• Background working in high-growth startup manufacturing environments.
