Salary: $118,000 – $170,000

What you will do

• Define hardware interfaces and design detailed wiring harnesses including routing.
• Design and test enclosures for environmental protection of avionics components.
• Design structural mounts to secure hardware within the aircraft.
• Collaborate with avionics, mechanical, and integration teams on hardware assembly.
• Install and test hardware on remotely operated aircraft.
• Broaden design and application experience through hands-on integration work.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise permitted to access export-controlled technology.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical or avionics hardware design.
• Proficiency in routing harnesses in CAD and physically in an aircraft.
• Experience with connectors, backshells, EMI shielding, and cable protection.
• Experience designing and analyzing structural mounts.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of experience in harness design and avionics packaging.
• Experience with NX routing and Capital Harness Designer.
• Experience designing avionics enclosures.
• Experience with certification-path aviation projects and DO-160 testing.
