IT Infrastructure Security Engineer

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid work model with office and remote work.

Base salary: €33,000–€49,000 gross per year. Total on-target earnings: €36,000–€54,000 including an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Engineer and operate security controls across non-cloud, cloud, and internal network infrastructure.
• Contribute to hardening baselines for Windows and Linux virtual machine fleets and support Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID controls.
• Automate patching and help achieve emergency patching SLAs for critical CVEs.
• Implement cloud security posture management and policy-as-code baselines across Azure and AWS, including configuration-drift remediation.
• Implement micro-segmentation and trust-model controls, and validate east-west traffic flows against corporate standards.
• Maintain control documentation and audit evidence, remediate findings, and participate in internal and external security audits.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in infrastructure or security engineering across non-cloud and cloud environments.
• Experience hardening Windows Server, Linux, VMware vSphere, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, and Azure or AWS security controls.
• Scripting fluency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with experience automating security and infrastructure tasks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible, and knowledge of GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines.
• Professional spoken and written English required. Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and Azure or AWS security certifications.
• Exposure to ISO, SOC 2 Type 2, or FedRAMP requirements.
• Spanish language skills.
