Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fully remote within the contiguous United States; must work Eastern Time hours

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support Python-based automations, internal web applications, APIs, SDKs, scripts, dashboards, and command-line utilities.
• Build workflows for alert enrichment, triage, incident response, case management, notifications, containment, escalation, and vulnerability tracking.
• Support the deployment, integration, monitoring, and operation of security platforms including IAM, SIEM, XDR, SOAR, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and cloud security technologies.
• Manage IAM functions and Linux systems supporting security sensors, collectors, connectors, and Docker-based services.
• Monitor automation health, system performance, integration failures, availability, resilience, patching, and change processes.
• Collaborate with security architects, engineers, SOC analysts, incident responders, and stakeholders on troubleshooting and technical escalation.

Requirements

• Must be located within the contiguous United States and available to work Eastern Time hours.
• Senior-level experience: 8+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years supporting large IT or security environments with a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, information security, or a related field; 8+ years of relevant experience may substitute.
• Hands-on experience with security engineering, enterprise integrations, APIs, SDKs, web services, authentication methods, and structured data formats.
• Experience with Linux deployment and lifecycle management, Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON, YAML, IAM, and security operations platforms.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architecture, incident response, networking, access control, secure software development, troubleshooting, and operational support.

Nice to have

• CISSP, Security+, GIAC, Linux, Python, cloud, IAM, or other relevant certifications.
• Experience in large, multi-tenant, shared-services, or managed-service environments.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, security sensors, monitoring, platform administration, playbooks, runbooks, and technical documentation.
• Advanced Python development experience involving full-stack development, internal web applications, databases, source control, and software deployment.
