Security Engineer (AWS/Terraform)

Location: On-site in Mexico City, at the Condesa office

What you will do

• Design and implement security guardrails across cloud infrastructure and developer workflows.
• Improve IAM, secrets management, endpoint management, access controls, and security observability.
• Harden AWS infrastructure with Terraform and policy-as-code, while building code and tooling that automate controls.
• Own penetration testing and the bug bounty program, triage findings, and coordinate systemic remediation.
• Lead SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 certification and build automated evidence collection.
• Review designs and pull requests with a security-first lens while working directly with executive and engineering leadership.

Requirements

• Engineering background with substantial experience securing production environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, preferably AWS.
• Experience building and modifying infrastructure with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Ability to write code, ship infrastructure, and own outcomes rather than provide recommendations only.
• Experience with AWS security primitives such as GuardDuty, CloudTrail, IAM, VPC, KMS, and security groups.
• Ability to work in person from the Mexico City office.

Nice to have

• Experience taking a company through SOC 2, ISO 27001, or a comparable certification.
• Experience running a bug bounty program or managing external penetration tests.
• Daily use of Claude Code or other agentic coding tools.
