What you will do

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage excise tax filings, annual tax returns, audit reporting, and participation in the budgeting process.
• Prepare value-added financial analyses and support special projects that improve closing and accounting processes.
• Partner with IT to enhance the ERP system and maintain rigorous internal controls.
• Lead, coordinate, hire, train, and supervise accountants, technicians, clerks, and the master data team.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years supervising staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA certification.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards; US GAAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and deadline-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software including Oracle Fusion, OneStream, Jira, and Acrobat.
• French and English bilingualism, both spoken and written, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing accounting applications and systems.
• Experience as an auditor at an accounting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of ERP software.
