Senior Accounting Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $145,000–$174,000 per year base salary

Zoox is developing a fully autonomous vehicle fleet and the supporting ecosystem for mobility-as-a-service in urban environments.

What you will do

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and regular ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies weekly and prepare monthly reconciliations for accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accruals and capitalization.
• Support annual financial audits and tax filings.
• Assess and improve accounting systems and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude, teamwork, and ability to quickly adapt to changes.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Big Four and/or public company accounting experience.
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, or Oracle.
