What you will do

• Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries to maintain general ledger integrity.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analysis.
• Manage the fixed asset register, including recording additions, retirements, and monthly amortization.
• Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist with ERP system enhancements and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the month-end close process.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas).
• Experience with Microsoft GreatPlains or other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
• Must be based in Houston, Texas for onsite work.

Nice to have

• Public accounting internship or professional experience.
• CPA certification or being a CPA candidate.
