Location: Remote (Must be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada). Travel is required for in-person meetings approximately every six weeks.

What you will do

• Lead a Product Engineering squad of 8-15 engineers, managing budget and headcount planning.
• Foster a servant-leadership environment focused on engineer growth and professional development.
• Collaborate with the engineering management team to define hiring bars, career ladders, and OKRs.
• Drive the adoption of AI-native workflows to improve throughput and product quality.
• Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of customer-facing product outcomes.
• Maintain engineering excellence through rigorous testing and validation standards.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States or Canada.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 10+ years of technical experience in software engineering.
• Hands-on AI fluency with practical experience using modern AI tools in real work.
• Proven track record in hiring and performance management of senior technical talent.
• Deep technical knowledge of system design and architecture tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience in conversational AI, voice, telephony, or ML systems.
• Experience scaling testing and validation for non-deterministic AI systems.
• Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving remote startup.
