What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a cross-disciplinary design team spanning product design, research, and content/UX writing.
• Set the design vision and strategy, aligning it with company goals as a strategic partner to product, engineering, and marketing.
• Own the quality bar for the member experience and scale design systems to increase shipping velocity and quality.
• Establish and lead an AI-native design practice, evolving workflows for prototyping, research synthesis, and production.
• Partner with marketing and brand to ensure a unified system from user acquisition through the in-product experience.

Requirements

• 12+ years in product design, including 5+ years leading and managing design teams.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional disciplines including research and content/writing.
• Deep expertise in building and scaling design systems.
• Experience designing for trust within marketplaces, communities, or high-stakes consumer products.
• AI-native mindset with a strong point of view on how AI transforms the design process and team structure.
• Strong operational skills in running rituals, providing sharp feedback, and building high-retention teams.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as the most senior design leader (Head of Design or Director+) owning the function end-to-end.
• Experience with marketplace or community-driven consumer products.
• Track record of taking products from 0→1 and 1→10.
• Experience shipping production features or tools built primarily with AI (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor).
