Ground Operations Engineer (GOE) (Galileo)

Location: Based in Germany, with periodic travel to the GCC-I control centre in Italy

What you will do

• Prepare and validate operational procedures and system configurations for mission execution.
• Operate ground control systems during routine satellite operations and critical LEOP phases.
• Plan and coordinate operational schedules, activities, and procedures.
• Support the deployment, integration, and testing of software releases and hardware updates.
• Develop training materials, share operational knowledge, and collaborate with international Galileo teams.
• Improve operational processes and contribute to automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience or strong knowledge of satellite ground segment operations, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of GNSS systems or comparable space-based infrastructure.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Excellent English required for technical communication and documentation.
• Degree in aerospace engineering, telecommunications, computer science, or a related technical field.
• Availability for periodic travel to Italy and required security clearance.
