Service Engineer (m/f/d) (Satellite Ground Systems)

Location: Mainz, Germany, with a flexible arrangement balancing remote and on-site work. Willingness to travel nationally and internationally is required.

hirify.global develops and operates satellite ground systems, antennas, telescopes, IT applications, and services for securely processing satellite-generated Earth observation and reconnaissance data.

What you will do

• Develop cost-effective assembly concepts, installation equipment, and support structures with engineering and project teams.
• Plan, coordinate, and optimize assembly workflows for safe, efficient, and timely on-site execution.
• Define, procure, and oversee installation aids and assembly equipment.
• Support execution planning and implementation at national and international project sites.
• Monitor costs, schedules, progress, and continuous improvement of assembly processes.
• Provide engineering support for installation, commissioning, and service activities as the technical on-site contact.

Requirements

• Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, or a comparable field.
• Experience planning and executing structural steel, mechanical engineering, or industrial plant projects.
• Knowledge of design, structural analysis, engineering principles, and project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering and planning software, and industry-standard CAD tools.
• Structured, analytical, reliable, and solution-oriented working style with strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Good written and spoken German and English skills, plus willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
