Intern Earth Observation Missions (Aerospace)

Location: Bremen, Germany; flexible hybrid arrangement balancing remote and on-site work

What you will do

• Develop internal tools for Earth observation mission analysis, including constellation design, coverage, delta-V, and latency calculations.
• Support satellite trade studies covering AOCS actuator sizing, unit accommodation, and power estimation.
• Develop mission visualization capabilities by integrating STK, Blender, and Python.
• Contribute to a space-based Internet-of-Things simulator for evaluating network performance.
• Support research, mission analysis, systems engineering, proposals, and space studies.

Requirements

• Engineering degree with a major in aerospace engineering.
• Programming experience with Python is required.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in teams.
• Flexibility, eagerness to learn, and a structured approach to solving problems.
• Work availability in a hybrid arrangement based in Bremen, Germany.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of mission analysis, especially Sun-synchronous orbits and delta-V.
• Knowledge of telecommunications.
