System Test Engineer Aerospace

Location: Manching, Germany; mobile working is possible.

What you will do

• Define and review DO-160-compliant environmental test procedures, parameters, acceptance criteria, and expected results.
• Develop qualification test plans for airborne systems covering environmental and electromagnetic conditions.
• Plan, coordinate, and support qualification and compliance testing with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare test reports, compliance matrices, and certification evidence for EASA, FAA, and military programs.
• Maintain traceability of requirements, test results, and deviations in DOORS and support audit readiness.
• Coordinate suppliers, laboratories, certification teams, customers, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, electrical, systems engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in the aerospace or defence industry.
• Strong knowledge of RTCA DO-160 and hands-on experience with environmental qualification testing.
• Experience developing test plans, defining procedures, and documenting compliance for airborne systems.
• Familiarity with EASA, FAA, or military aerospace certification processes, plus practical DOORS and Microsoft Office experience.
• Fluent English at minimum C1 level; willingness to complete project-specific security clearance requirements.
