What you will do
- Maintain laboratories and workshops, coordinating regular maintenance and calibration with equipment suppliers.
- Plan and execute test campaigns for CubeSats and flight equipment using electrodynamic shakers, thermal-vacuum chambers, and antenna characterisation equipment.
- Conduct Facility Readiness, Test Readiness, and Post Test Reviews, including anomaly investigations.
- Manage facility user databases and equipment usage logs in compliance with ESA GDPR/data privacy rules.
- Develop and deliver technical training and "Training Weeks" focused on spacecraft testing for university students.
- Review test specifications and protocols for facility users and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering, or Physics.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience in laboratory operations, test engineering, or aerospace testing.
- Practical knowledge of environmental testing methods, including vibration, thermal-vacuum, and EMC testing.
- Experience working within controlled laboratory or cleanroom environments.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Must be eligible to work and live in the EU.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working with ESA, other space agencies, or aerospace organizations.
- Experience with CubeSat, nanosatellite, or aerospace hardware testing programs.
- Knowledge of ECSS testing and verification approaches.
- Experience in STEM education, technical training, or outreach activities.
- Experience supporting the procurement and commissioning of laboratory equipment.
