What you will do
- Design, build, support, and improve infrastructure platforms for critical services.
- Automate operational processes to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
- Support platform modernisation and transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and software engineering teams on technical solutions.
- Monitor platform health, optimise performance, and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, share knowledge, and mentor engineering colleagues.
Requirements
- Eligibility for UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is required.
- Typically, sole British citizenship and 10 years of continuous UK residence are required, subject to government vetting.
- Strong ownership, logical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Commitment to secure, reliable, maintainable, and continuously improving engineering practices.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and work independently when appropriate.
Nice to have
- Experience with Linux or Windows enterprise operating systems and infrastructure operations.
- Cloud or on-premises environments, automation, Infrastructure as Code, scripting, or software development.
- Virtualisation, containers, networking, platform security, monitoring, observability, or operational tooling.
- DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, and CI/CD practices.
