What you will do

• Shape, manage, and evolve secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud and infrastructure services across Azure and Linux environments.
• Lead cloud modernisation, automation, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and CI/CD improvements.
• Apply FinOps practices to optimise cloud expenditure and improve platform efficiency.
• Strengthen observability, security, governance, resilience, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Collaborate with architects, internal engineering teams, and managed service providers on operational infrastructure support.
• Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of dedicated hands-on cloud engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure; experience with AWS is advantageous.
• Strong experience with Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, containers, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and CI/CD workflows.
• Subject matter expertise in operational infrastructure support, including servers, storage, backup and recovery, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, security services, and cloud or enterprise data centres.
• Experience in the oil and gas sector or an equivalent operational environment, with strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
