Protection Officer (Humanitarian)

What you will do

• Provide capacity building and training for field staff and partners on protection mainstreaming and safe identification.
• Manage inward and outward referral pathways for vulnerable individuals across various sectors (health, shelter, legal, etc.).
• Ensure inclusive and protection-sensitive implementation of MPCA and other distributions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all protection activities and beneficiary records.
• Coordinate with service providers to map services and verify eligibility and response timelines.
• Prepare regular reports on protection trends, challenges, and distribution oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Law, Human Rights, or International Relations.
• 2-3 years of experience in protection, humanitarian response, or case management.
• Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English.
• Knowledge of PSEA/SEAH, safer cash programming, and humanitarian principles.
• Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills for working with vulnerable populations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
