What you will do

• Lead the team owning major parts of the network stack for EC2 distributed AI/ML and HPC systems.
• Direct work to ensure the delivery of functions and features required for the latest and largest ML workloads.
• Partner with product and program management teams to align technical goals.
• Collaborate with other technical teams and senior leadership to collect requirements and define product strategy.
• Manage and mentor a team of software engineers to improve their skills and overall effectiveness.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 5+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems with a focus on reliability and scaling.
• 5+ years of experience leading the development of multi-tier web services.
• Knowledge of full software/hardware/networks development life cycle including coding standards and livesite operations.
• Location: Must be based in Seattle, WA, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with the NVIDIA stack, ML applications, and frameworks.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, and coaching software engineers.
• Strong communication skills for describing technical designs and product strategy to senior leadership.
