What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers, focusing on hiring, coaching, and career development.
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of distributed systems in Go, balancing features, technical debt, and platform reliability.
• Oversee code and design reviews for secure network protocols and cryptographic systems (TLS/mTLS).
• Collaborate with architects and product managers to define roadmaps and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Champion engineering best practices and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading software engineering teams.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and high-scale network services.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and just-in-time access models.
• Background in Terraform and CI/CD pipeline management.
