TL;DR
Director, Content Marketing (SaaS): Owns ’s end-to-end B2B content strategy and editorial function, connecting blogs, case studies, whitepapers, analyst reports, and thought leadership to campaign and pipeline outcomes with an accent on editorial leadership, SEO, AEO/GEO, and AI-assisted workflows. Focus on building scalable content operations, measuring MQA and pipeline influence, shaping cross-functional campaigns, and integrating multimedia into the Expense Intelligence narrative.
Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workplace. Occasional travel of 0–10% may be required.

What you will do
- Own the content strategy, editorial calendar, and content-to-campaign mapping across blogs, case studies, whitepapers, analyst reports, and thought leadership.
- Collaborate with Social/Demand Gen, PR & AR, Product Marketing, and Demand Gen to align content with campaigns, launches, announcements, and amplification.
- Manage and develop a Content Writer while directing agency and contractor relationships, briefs, governance, and quality control.
- Govern AI-assisted drafting workflows while maintaining strong human editorial judgment and consistent brand voice.
- Lead SEO and AEO/GEO strategies for traditional search and LLM-driven discovery platforms.
- Build content measurement frameworks tied to performance, pipeline, and MQA influence, and present quarterly strategy readouts to Brand Marketing leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in B2B content marketing or content strategy, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or financial services.
- At least 3 years leading content strategy or managing writers and agencies.
- Strong editorial, writing, editing, communication, presentation, SEO, and AEO/GEO skills.
- Experience building or governing AI-assisted content workflows and connecting content performance to pipeline and MQA influence.
- Ability to manage a direct report and external agencies while influencing adjacent teams without direct reporting authority.
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling a content function from the ground up.
- Experience with AEO/GEO strategies for LLM-driven content discovery.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
