Field Application Engineer, Staff (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts area preferred; Northeastern Region territory. Primarily office and factory-based with up to 50% travel.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually, plus eligibility for a target annual incentive opportunity of 9% of base salary.

What you will do

• Create demand for hirify.global components and provide technical design assistance to direct and indirect customers.
• Achieve design-ins by developing solutions that meet technical specifications and commercial requirements.
• Resolve customer technical issues involving solution selection, quality concerns, testing, and qualification.
• Coordinate customer, sales representative, distribution, Product Management, and Engineering activities.
• Identify product portfolio gaps, communicate new product ideas, and serve as the technical liaison during product development.
• Collect market intelligence, support technology shows, prepare technical collateral, maintain CRM records, and report design-in activity.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required; a related engineering, physics, or science degree may be accepted with appropriate electrical engineering experience.
• Five to ten years of component sales, applications engineering, or sales engineering experience is desired.
• Knowledge of product applications, specifications, technical drawings, and engineering analysis.
• Strong time-management, organizational, public-speaking, presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to identify innovative solutions, prioritize projects, plan travel, work independently, and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to work primarily in office and factory environments and travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience supporting semiconductor, power supply, military, or aerospace applications.
• Knowledge of assigned market design platforms and applications.
