What you will do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage the general ledger, balance sheet, intercompany transactions, and short-term cash-flow projections.
• Oversee AR and AP functions and identify key department metrics and KPIs.
• Perform assessments of current systems and processes to implement improvements and automations.
• Develop internal policies to strengthen internal controls and maintain accounting software scalability.
• Support and develop the accounting team of four professionals.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in New York.
• 8+ years of accounting experience in public or private accounting; active CPA preferred.
• 3 to 4 years of direct experience in a Controller function.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in US GAAP and advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, VBA Macros).
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.
