Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; may require onsite work at client locations in the DC, MD, and VA area. The flexible-work model requires at least 50% of each quarter in the office or in the field.
Annual base salary: $137,000–$205,400 USD for the primary location; additional U.S. locations: $123,900–$222,000 USD. The role may also include a bonus and annual refresh stock grants.

What you will do
- Manage and optimize deployments in air-gapped U.S. AWS cloud regions.
- Design, develop, debug, document, and support deployment and programming solutions.
- Develop and maintain deployment tools and analytics that improve flexibility and reduce costs.
- Work with Federal Cyber Defense on security operations, governance, risk, compliance, and platform security health.
- Collaborate with commercial software engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports U.S. Federal Government contracts.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required; an active TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience deploying large-scale, complex applications, including 3+ years of cloud-based deployments on AWS or GCP.
- 2+ years of experience with automation tools and languages such as Ansible, Python, Go, Chef, and Puppet, plus CI/CD, build management, and monitoring.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based networks, servers, storage, operating systems, deployment orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms, configuration management, containers, orchestration, databases, middleware, and Unix/Linux environments.
Nice to have
- DoD 8570/8140 compliance with at least IAT Level II certification, a current Computing Environment credential, and an approved specialty certification.
- Experience developing orchestration and automation frameworks with Ansible and Jenkins.
- Experience with network analysis and troubleshooting using tools such as tcpdump.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, Jira, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups.
