What you will do

• Design electrical panels and software for automation equipment, including tooling, fixtures, and robotic cells.
• Create detailed schematics and diagrams using ECAD.
• Program and configure PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell) and industrial robots (KUKA, FANUC, ABB) from scratch.
• Manage the full project life cycle, including fabrication, assembly, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver complete custom automation solutions.
• Research and apply new technologies to improve system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in electrical and software design for automation, robotics, or industrial equipment.
• Proficiency in ECAD (AutoCAD Electrical, ePlan) and automation software (TIA Portal, Studio 5000, TwinCAT, WinCC).
• Deep understanding of machine design, motion systems, and pneumatic actuators.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
• U.S. citizenship, national status, permanent residency (Green Card), refugee or asylum status is strictly required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation, or a related field.
• Proficiency with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, WinCC, or FactoryTalk.
• Experience with CNC Machine integration.
• Ability to create 3D layouts and robot simulations.
