Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 / yr

What you will do

• Own system-level electrical design and architectural decisions, balancing power, thermal, and reliability constraints.
• Lead schematic capture and PCB layout from prototype through production using Altium Designer.
• Debug hardware across electrical, firmware, and mechanical systems both at the bench and in the field.
• Design and review power architectures for battery-powered systems operating in harsh environments.
• Collaborate with firmware and software teams to identify and resolve system reliability issues early.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews to improve team-wide hardware standards.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years of experience shipping hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in power distribution, battery management, and control systems.
• Proven experience taking PCB designs through bring-up and production (50+ units).
• Experience integrating electromechanical systems (motors, sensors, compute, and networking).
• Familiarity with embedded platforms (MCUs, Jetson) and interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, USB).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles.
• Proficiency in Altium Designer.
• Maritime background or experience working around the ocean.
